Types Of Small Dogs Surveyed – Part 1

Discovering the different classes of small dogs can help focus the search for a new canine friend. The American Kennel Club (AKC), the principle breed registry within the United States, categorizes dog breeds into 7 categories, plus the miscellaneous class. The latter is for those breeds who are in the process of becoming AKC registered, but are yet tofinalize some of the membership requirements.

The seven classes of American Kennel Club recognized dog breeds are:

•  sporting
•  hound
•  working
•  terrier
•  toy
•  non-sporting
•  herding

You’ll find most small dogs are in the toy class, but there are also a lot in the terrier class, and a smattering in the hound, non-sporting, herding, and sporting classes. There are no American Kennel Club recognized small dogs in the working class.

What Are The Characteristics Of These Groups?

The dogs in most categories share some defining common characteristics. Some are in these groups because of practical skills like a great hunting or herding ability, (in the herding and hound groups). Others are there because of their size (toy dogs), or ancestry (terriers). The sporting and working dogs are a bit like the medley racers in Olympic swimming – these dogs are all-rounders, talented in doggy sports, or excelling in the many skills working dogs need. The non-sporting group don’t seem to have much at all in common however. This is the most diverse group of dog breeds.

Sporting Dogs

Sporting dogs are great hunters, although they make loyal and loving pets to the right owners. Sporting dogs can hunt all types of small game, including birds, and they can hunt either on land or in the water. This group covers 27 breeds, including the English cocker spaniel dog breed, a type of small spaniel. There are other larger spaniels in here as well, plus setters, retrievers, and pointers. Sporting dogs are high energy dogs, and need a lot of exercise and/or mental stimulation.

Hound Dogs

Dogs in the hound dog grouping have historically helped people in hunting activities. In doing so, they were bred to hone particular skills each breed developed. Some hounds use speed, others sight or smell, to find their prey. There are 23 breeds in this group, which includes 3 small dog breeds – the whippet, basenji, and dachshund.

Working Dogs

Dogs classified as working dogs can be pets, but the reason they are called working dogs is because they provide some function for people, whether that’s herding livestock, as a guide dog or a police dog.

The AKC uses the definition another way. , in that any dog who was originally bred to do a task which didn’t fit into one of the other categories, becomes classified  by them as a working dog. There aren’t any small dog breeds in this category.

Technical Analysis Explained- Trading Congestion Action Part I

Today we’re going to talk about congestion action trading .  A market in congestion action is one that goes back and forth between congestion confines , between resistance and support ( or in terms of Drummond Geometry, between the block level and the dotted line). This is action in the market that happens in congestion , and when there is not a trend run. The level that was created by the preceding up trend’s highest high is what is referred to as the Dotted Line, or the lowest low created by the preceding down trend . The first Block Level is the low of the first bar that closes on the opposite side of the PLdot in a uptrend , or the high of the first bar that closes on the other side of the PL Dot in a down trend .

Once you really have a good understanding of the patterns, characteristics, and theory of congestion action trading, you can make a lot of money in this type of market . It is much like crop harvesting . Congestion action trading can be real bread-and-butter trading …. and even more, you can purchase a table for the bread , and for the table you can buy a house, and the estate to hold the house , and the car, the driver, and the boat, and the plane, and all the other toys or essentials you may or may not desire . Basically , you have a huge potential to make money with this type of trading, if you take time to learn everything you can about it .

What is congestion action trading ?

One result of technical analysis explained with Drummond Geometry is that the definitions are clear . Price is either in a trend run or it is not . When after more than three closes are on the PLdots one side and then it closes on the PLdots other side, this is not a trend run . When the market is not in a trend run, then it is in congestion . It’s very clear and simple .

That first bar when price closes on the opposite side of the trending dot is the entrance bar of congestion . Then, but definition, there is congestion in the market. When congestion is first entered we know that this creates a dotted line and a block level . This block level is the first block level of the congestion . This means, congestion action is the name for that market action which starts with a congestion entrance bar and continues for an indefinite period of time until we see three closes on one side of the PLdot , showing the beginning of a new trend .

Now let’s look at the way the limits of congestion are defined with technical analysis explained, and how these limits can be expanded.

Congestion action defines the parameters of congestion , which may be called the confines of congestion.  Keep in mind that the confines of congestion are defined by the dotted line and the block level , and that the first block level is established by the congestion entrance bar .  But these levels can be expanded . If prices goes outside the dotted line, or outside of the block level , while congestion is still in effect (that is, without showing three closes on one side of the PL Dot ), then price redefines the congestion confines and there can be established an even larger congestion . Before a new trend run occurs, this can happen various times.
