My son has been a huge ultimate Buzz Lightyear fan for a couple years now. Since my son just turned 8, he is about to outgrow him, but we decided to buy just one more Buzz for Christmas. Buzz has been worth every dime! He does take a lot of batteries… 3 in his back, 4 in each leg and 3 more in the remote. Yes, that is 14 batteries! But he thinks he’s a real space ranger (until you tell him otherwise). He will give a high five, he walks forward and backward (which my kids call moonwalking). He has 4 play modes, voice command, program by puppeteering, remote control and direct button activation. Best of all, he has Tim Allens voice (unlike some of the recent Buzz Lightyears out there). It’s only been 24 hours, so I can’t speak for durability, but it’s been played with nonstop since it’s been opened. This was my son’s favorite toy this Christ

LEGO City Public Transport Set Review 2010 – LEGO 8404
Lego, the tutorial and constructing toys firm, often releases two kinds of sets. Lego and Disney have gotten together before but this is the first time the Studio Pixar characters featured in the main Lego sets so when the pairing was announced in 2009 it caused some excitement among the kids and adult animation fans.
Toy Story holds a successful place in the same 3D animation history and the hearts of children from different generations. In Toy Story 3 set for worldwide cinematic release in July 2010 set is bound to be highly sought after. The first flush of Toy Story Lego set was released in January 2010 and it is a good mix of small and large sets in different price ranges. Lego minifigures of Pixar's character is one of the major drawcards in this column and they do not disappoint.
Perhaps the best value for money set, and the hardest to find on store shelves is the set of Buzz and Woody to the Rescue. This set, numbered 7590 and priced at $ 19.99, is the only set that comes with both Woody and Buzz. The minifigures are accurate and highly detailed, instantly recognizable and endearing in their Lego format. This set also comes with fan favorite RC that, the movie is a little remote control car. RC in this set is not remote control but with pull-back friction power to make it race across the floor.
The largest set, with 502 pieces, was Woody's Roundup which recreates the set of television show and features Woody's Woody, The Prospector (otherwise known as stinky Pete), Jessie and Bullseye the horse. set it as 7594 and priced at $ 49.99, and is a fun playset features a sheriff's office, a prison and a goldmine cave with heaps of accessories such as a safe, money and explosives. It's great to have Woody, Jessie and Bullseye all together and the building location for them to gather or have a shootout with stinky Pete.
The minimum set in this first wave is the Army Men On Patrol retailing for $ 10.99. It characteristics of green army men featured high in the first movie Toy Story. The cool thing about this set is the color. Save for the wheel of the jeep, everything is green. The set comes with four figures, three troopers and one medical (good famous white cross on his helmet). The figures come in a variety of accessories and base plates on their feet carefully incorporated into a Lego base plate. jeep is very cute and brings a stretcher for people injured in the line of military duty.
The next largest set, with 257 piece Star Command Buzz's spaceship. Minifigs featuring Buzz and the evil but the father (I am your Father) Zurg, This set weighs in at $ 29.95. spaceship is very swooshable and back opens up to reveal a little buggy for months Buzz to zoom around on, perfect for planetary exploration. The cockpit opens up and Buzz fits perfectly inside, even in its wing. It is a very playable sets and even recommended for ages 7 and up I'd safely say that dexterous younger children can play with it easily.
The last two set in this first ever Lego Toy Story waves the two build-A-Sets. These are actually buildable, poseable figures of both Buzz and Zurg (sold separately). Each figure stands about 7 inches high, is hard for articulated playing and comes with a small alien minifigure (the little green men). These are more detailed than the regular that minifigures (eg Buzz's helmet could be close to the form-A-Buzz figure but not in minifigure) but can not be played with the car or Playsets, having more in common with Bionicle figures in their size. however when the rest of the range will be released the figures would make a great display or play action figures.
The work of setting up the complete first flush Lego Toy Story for 2010 but there is more to come. Toy Story in the lead up to 3's release in cinemas another wave comes from within a few months. By names such as Western Train Chase and Pizza Planet Rescue Truck Lego theme it has a lot more life left in it yet and hopefully its success will pave the way for further Pixar themed Lego set.
