Japanese people …?
I've known and worked with many Japanese people. they seem to be the most 'civil' and really nice people. Is it a product of their parents, their culture or it is genetically them this way? I want to know what other Japanese people think of it, and what they think of Americans. They have some very strange (to me) design ideas (toys, cartoons, styles) – and wonder they are 'breaking out' as America is in the 50's> 60's to a new age of freedom because things can change toward a more open attitude that can be misconstrued as what America has become over the past 20 or so years. I figured this would be an interesting topic. Do not look down American's, Asians or Japanese is not meant to be flame bait.
While I am not Japanese, I've learned a bit about the culture because of my long-time involvement in the martial arts. Japan has long has a culture of civility and respect, especially when compared to the rather "in your face" American culture. culture is obviously replacing Japan as the world mingles its youth culture and embraces a great deal of freedom and "wildness" of its American brothers. One only has to look to abandon the club culture in Japan to see how it can get really wild. However, this does not discount the long-held belief that the honor, saving face, and behaving in a way that does not embarrass or shame of oneself or family who have shaped the Japanese society for hundreds of years.

Johnny Horton – Greatest Hits $6.01 While Louisiana Hayride star Johnny Horton’s 1956 Top 10 debut “Honky Tonk Man” strode the line between rockabilly and honky-tonk minimalism, he found his niche in 1959 with a short-lived phenomenon known as the saga song: newly penned tunes, based on or inspired by historical events. The song that rendered Horton immortal? A rousing rendition of folksinger Jimmie Driftwood’s War of 1812 number “T… |
