Enough Food For A Week

Linda took another two square cake pans out of the oven and started to pour cake mix into them. She already had two white cakes baking in the oven. These two would be chocolate. Putting alternating white and chocolate layers would give her a checkerboard pattern when the cake was finished. She planned vanilla frosting but with red food coloring and a miniature flag on top.

She took the sheet cake out and frosted it quickly. This one will look pretty, but, everyone will go for that chocolate cake first. She knew from experience. She loved to bake and had a difficult time resisting the urge to make a third cake.

So many friends and relatives were expected, they didn’t want to run out of food or cake, and they wouldn’t. She’d be more than ready for the crowd at three. She had snacks and punch for the adults. She had virgin punch for the little ones along with chips and pretzels. There were deviled eggs on one platter and little sausages on another.

There was a redwood picnic table and a little plastic toddler table for the kids. Their patio set was washed and ready with the big green umbrella to shad it from the hot sun. Lawn chairs and little plastic side tables were ready for many people. If they ran out of seating, she’d get out a card table and the matching chairs.

They would all have a lot of fun. Babies would cry, toddlers would fight over the picnic table and her sister’s new baby would arrive, cuddled in her little graco snugride infant car seat. She hadn’t seen the baby yet. She was only four weeks old. Her name was Ruba and she was said to sleep a lot of the time. She put out plastic toys for the kids.

The badminton net waited further out on the lawn. She checked for the fourth time to see if the ladder to the above-ground pool was secured in the up position. It was, but she’d probably check three more times before all the little kids came.

Meanwhile Todd was preparing the grill and taking out all the cooking tools. They’d have burgers and brats and of course the traditional hot dogs. It made sense to serve easy-to-eat food to such a large group. She had potato salad and macaroni salad in four large bowls in the refrigerator. The tray of pickles and olives was chilling in there too.

Lori ran upstairs and showered. She was wearing a sun dress with new sandals for the occasion. Now it was only an hour till the house would fill with people and she was growing excited. Just taking five minutes to straighten her bed quilt and running in to make her daughter’s loft bed, she was ready for the day. She went downstairs and waited for guests to arrive.

Great set to generate with fun, intricate parts for connecting to make all 3 or more wings move simultaneously to help deploy and retract the actual landing gear. Looks great in possibly position plus it’s durable and fun to play with.

Pros-Design, assemble, several wings simultaneously deploy and retract, playability, slide open cockpit, additionally neat Clone-Pilot w/rifle.

Cons-Really none of them BUT, when building please adhere to carefully the positioning on the landing gear segments. has to be accurate at all phases to make the wings raise as well as lower properly.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for any Lego collector or new. Lot’s of fun!

Wonderful Lego set

My son and I had a lot of fun building this toy. He loves building together with Lego’s. While this one was additional challenging, when you usually are done, it is worth the excess effort. It has gears and so the wings fold down and up with the center piece when it arises or down. The only reason MY SPOUSE AND I gave it 3 superstars for durability is because it’s a Lego set, so you do end up being more careful with that. I feel that it turned out well worth the fee. You won’t be frustrated.

thrilling build, fun deliver, but be very careful!

My (almost) 9-year old grandson (an expert Legos man) built this set in a few hours. Building the ship requires interest to detail as it is easy to make mistakes. An example can be installation of the motor: If the wing extension pistons aren’t fully closed (retracted) any time snapping the engines in position, then the wings is not going to deploy properly requiring several disassembly. however, that’s the location where the educational part comes with. one negative note: The wings are heavy and therefore are not adequately secured on the wing roots. The wing root pins place into two bushing pieces that shouldn’t have sufficient attachment/adhesion area to hold on to the heavy wings to the ship during anything in excess of careful play. Boooo! would likely buy this LEGO Star Wars V yet again? without a doubt! Advice: But, buy this set limited to older Legos builders more considering the building phase as opposed to play phase.
