5 year old boy cries over everything?

This is not a recent thing and nothing has changed in his life. he always like this but do not believe he is still acting This way. She cries over every single bump and bruise (and things are not even real damage) … cries when his toys fall. cries when he does not like what's on her plate for dinner. cries about everything. I do not know how to get him to toughen up. I am obviously not going to make him feel bad or call him a sissy or anything but I was at the end of my rope. he acts like a baby about everything. He starts kindergarten in the fall and I mentioned to him that other kids might tease her if she cries so much about everything. Any advice would be appreciated.

Not We call him names or try to make him feel bad or anything, but (unless he was obviously seriously injured) we just calmly told him we could help him or talk to him about the problem until he spoke in a calm, strong voice so we can understand him and he is ready to help to think of good solutions. We pointed out when someone else is doing it, modeled it on our own, and praised him when he managed it. He now totally over it.
