In a recent Harvard Business Review blog, "Predictions for 2010: Five Changes Way We Work," author Tammy Erickson 2008/2009 reflects the recession's impact on workers to predict the evolution of work in 2010 and beyond. He contends that the trend began in 1981 recession to its extensive use of layoffs in the workplace. I have mixed feelings on the prediction. First of all, have any poor performers left working in corporate America? I can not imagine that there are still many jobs that simply "going through the motions."
