Antecedents of Online Consumers Intention to Buy. $115.71 The objective of this study is to propose and test a parsimonious and complete model of online consumers intention to buy. The model includes factors that have been found significant in previous research when tested individually or in pairs. The proposed model combines factors that have not previously been tested together: (a) value perception, (b) technology acceptance, (c) trust, and (d) time pressure. The subjects for this study were 195 members of a professional organization. A webbased questionnaire was used to gather the data. The data was analyzed using regression analysis. Results indicate that perception of value and technology acceptance influences a consumers intention to buy online. Trust is shown to be significant; however, it is highly collinear with technology acceptance. Time pressure was shown to influence perceived value and a relationship between time pressure and intention to buy was not found to be statistically significant. Results of this study support previous research on perceived value and technology acceptance and an online consumers intention to buy. However, the mixed results with trust may indicate the need for further research.
