Christmas Gifts New Girlfriend

New lesbian folks are giving a new girlfriend for Christmas ..?

One of my relatives recently – like a couple months ago – left His wife of 10 years because she's decided she's a lesbian. He just brought a new boyfriend to Thanksgiving dinner (without warning anyone) .. and we have asked all along his new love interest in our annual family gift exchange (we Draw names, each will get 1 in. ..). Is it wrong that I'm not ready to have this new boyfriend involved in all of our family holidays (formerly my wife's relatives was a great guy, and I miss having him around!), and I'm not quite ready to exchange Christmas gifts with him? It's not that he was gay, it was not me feel comfortable doing any of this if he has brought a new girlfriend around either. We should get over it (the whole fam feels the same system)? Or should we figure out a way to tell her that we do not just not comfortable buying / recieving gift from new girlfriend? I appreciate any suggestions you have for me! Do not be too harsh:)

Thank you, I'm glad to hear that it's not just because he's gay. In my opinion, The best thing to do is to try to get over it and include the new boyfriend. If it is a serious relationship, then all you're going to need to get to know its late anyway, and it's a great way to do it. It is also important to let your relatives know you still love and support him. It's hard enough coming out of the closet – and it's hard when you are going through a separation or divorce. If it was as recently as you say it, he can still processing all of his emotions about it, and that's not an easy thing to do. The holidays, he is going to have her family by her side. I would, however, explain to him how you feel about things, and you do not appreciate not getting any warnings about Thanksgiving. That IS a lot to throw the whole family, especially on a holiday gathering. Just try to be nice about Here when you do.
