Avoid Common Trigger Factors And Cure Your Eczema

Even though the view is that there isn’t a cure for eczema, the symptoms can certainly be alleviated by avoiding the common trigger factors. Sometimes it is difficult to know what triggers off a flare-up of eczema, but because some types of eczema are caused by coming into contact with an allergen or irritant, it makes sense to try and avoid these.

Here we will discuss the common eczema trigger factors together with tips on how to avoid them.

House Dust Mites

These pesky little mites are so tiny that they cannot be seen by the naked eye. They hide in your mattresses, furniture, soft toys, cushions and carpets, in fact anywhere that dust can settle. Keep your house well-ventilated by keeping windows open as much as possible. This is because dust mites thrive in moist and damp environments. The next thing to to avoid having any furry toys and soft furnishings in your child’s bedroom as these can trap dust.

Air your mattresses as much as you can especially out in the sun as this kills off the dust mites. You might want to think about buying a mattress that is resistant to mold and dust mites. Finally, if possible, get rid of carpets and replace them with wooden floors which are easier to keep clean. Another point is about bedding. As dust mites hate hot temperatures, make sure that you wash bedding regularly in hot water as this kills them off. Either dry the bedding off in a dryer at high temperature or hang them out in the sun. Letting damp bedding hang around the house for too long will attract dust mites.

Clothing

If you suffer with eczema then you really want to make sure that you do not wear abrasive or scratching fabrics, like wool, next you your skin as this can cause irritation. Try and wear breathable fabrics, e.g. 100% cotton or other smooth materials next your skin. A new fabric made from microfiber called Derma Smart, has recently be created by dermatologists who claim that it glides over the skin’s surface and relieves itchiness. My tip for washing clothes is to use a non-biological liquid laundry products as this doesn’t contain irritating enzymes or bleaches.

Pets

As much as it is wonderful to have a cat and a dog in the house with children, quite often you can react to their fur and dander with symptoms such as wheezing, sneezing and a runny nose. In fact, coming into contact with furry animals can increase the risk of developing eczema in susceptible people. Avoid having a furry animal in the house, but if you already have one then try and keep it away from your child. If you or your child happen to come in contact with a furry animal then make sure you wash your hands immediately.

Shih Tzu dog training requires plenty of sleep for the little dog.These puppies must sleep quite a bit during every day when they are very little.  If the puppy is sleeping, do not wake the dog from this sleep.  Shih Tzu puppies are so cute that many people want to play with them especially when they are very tiny.  There is a proper way to play with a Shih Tzu puppy.  An owner should never throw the puppy up in the air.The puppy should not play strenuously for extended periods of time when they are very young. 

Shih Tzu puppy care includes placing the puppy in a safe area where there are no cold drafts or loud noises.  The puppy should not be left in a crate during daylight hours.  The puppy should be kept away from dangerous items that they might chew or swallow.  Shih Tzu puppies should have some soft toys so they can play.  Puppies should be given all of the shots recommended by the veterinarian in order to keep them free of life threatening diseases.  Shih Tzu puppies should be carefully housetrained.
